Preparation of multilayer contact systems for electrical contacts via electrodeposition. Suitable bath formulations will be provided by the elient. Planning and set-up of a lab scale corrosion measuring system for the assessment of the corrosion stability of the electroplated contact systems. Details of the measuring procedures will be discussed with the elient. Systematic investigations on the corrosion behavior of the electric contact systems under well-defined conditions. The exact parameters such temperature, pH, salt concentrations, etc. will be discussed with the client. Chemical analysis of the corrosive environment, such as type and amount of ions dissolved from the electric contact layers. Preparation of a scientific report outlining structure-property relations of the corrosion behavior of the electrical contact systems.
